Tarik Saleh is an award-winning director and screenwriter.

His upcoming feature film 'Eagles of the Republic' is announced to premier at this year's edition of Cannes Film Festival, where it is selected to compete for the 2025 Palm D'Or.

In 2022, Saleh's psychological thriller 'Boy From Heaven' premiered at Cannes Film Festival's main competition, where Saleh earned the 'Best Screenplay' award, along with the prestigious Prix François Chalais Award.

Saleh's international breakthrough came in 2017 with the release of 'The Nile Hilton Incident', which won numerous awards including the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival and the 'Best Film' honor at the Guldbagge Awards. 'Eagles of the Republic' is the third film in Saleh's Cairo-trilogy, completing the sequence after 'The Nile Hilton Incident' and 'Boy From Heaven'.

Sales began his career in the mid-1980s as one of Sweden's most renowned graffiti artists. His 1989 mural 'Fascinate' became the first graffiti artwork to be recognized as a cultural heritage and remains one of the world's oldest surviving graffiti artworks.

Saleh made his directorial debut in 2001 with 'Sacrificio – Who Betrayed Che Guevara?', co-directed by Erik Gandini.
In 2009, he debuted as a feature film director with the groundbreaking 'Metropia', featuring Vincent Gallo, Juliette Lewis, and Udo Kier, which opened the Critique Week in Venice the same year.

Saleh has also directed other narrative projects, including action thriller 'The Contractor' and episodes of HBO series 'Westworld' as well as 'Ray Donovan' for Showtime.
